Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school.
Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.
➡️ WHO ARE WE?
The TORONTO HIGH SCHOOL PARENTS & CITIZENS ASSOCIATION is the focal point for parent involvement at the school and provides a place for parents to discuss and debate matters of interest relating to the school and community. All parents or guardians are invited to become members of the P&C. Membership costs $2 per year and can be paid anytime.
The P&C Executive oversees the P&C's operations while committees look after each of the services which the P&C provides. All P&C members are invited to nominate for Executive positions. However new members are not expected to take on additional roles in their first year - not unless they want to, of course!
➡️ WHAT DO WE DO?
The P&C provides strong community support for the school by encouraging parents to be involved in the workings of the school. We run fundraising events and provide a number of outlets for families to provide feedback and suggestions on school improvements.
• Fundraising to provide improvements to the school and new resources for students
• For the time-poor parents, carers and citizens we provide alternate ways to provide input into your students schooling via Facebook and email direct to the P&C
• Assist with the development of policies and management plans.
➡️ P&C MEETINGS
P & C meetings are held during school terms on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 6.30 pm in person at the school or via Microsoft Teams. The link is published on the THS Facebook page or interested persons can email thspandc@outlook.com for the link. These meetings usually go for an hour. All parents, carers and citizens are welcome to attend these meetings.
